My name is Neil and I've worked for Europcar for over nine years. I started as a Service Agent and took on a few days in the office where I progressed and ended up becoming the Fleet Coordinator. I saw our company's STAR development programme advertised and so put myself forward with support from my Manager at the time.
I completed the NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration last year. After that, I got a call from a member of the L&D Team who asked me to start the NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading, which I jumped at, and with support of my colleagues, I am getting through this and will have completed it this year.
The skills I have learnt on both courses have been vital as I have taken on extra responsibilities in my branch. I feel that any one interested should put themselves forward - the trainer was excellent and I would really recommend it.

My name is Gina and I have worked at Europcar for six years. I currently work in the Executive Relations team within Business Services assisting customers who have escalated their queries to our Management Board, Senior Management Team and governing bodies.
I am completing the Level 2 Team Leader course and I am currently half way through the programme. During the course I have learnt about different leadership roles, leadership styles, the importance of equality and diversity, business structures, communication and much more. The main purpose of the course is to develop an understanding of how to be an eective leader and why being an effective team leader results in increased productivity, personal satisfaction, progression for members of the team and success for the business.
The information I have taken away so far from the course has had a positive impact on my day to day work in making decisions and resolving customer queries. It has helped me to become more professional, assertive and fair towards customers and colleagues.
